AONdevices was founded in 2018 to develop low power AI SoCs and algorithms, initially for voice and audio recognition applications. The company has offices in San Diego and Irvine, CA. AONdevices has incubated at EvoNexus, a Southern California start-up incubator.

AONdevices has developed a neural network technology that can reliably recognize human speech and audio commands in very noisy environments. The company started with the voice control AI algorithm to identify the AI components required for command detections achieving the highest performance at the lowest power.

The technology can be implemented in a small footprint SoC for always-on battery powered applications such as smartphones and wireless headsets. The company is planning to build specialized deep learning chips for always-on voice and audio processing and expand the framework to other applications in adjacent markets.

AON will offer the full solution, not just a chip or algorithm. The company’s goal is to enable its customers with a voice and audio AI chip that addresses all aspects of voice and audio capture, detection and recognition.

The alpha release of AONdevices’ software has been demonstrated to leading OEMs. The company is currently prototyping the solution on the Xilinx Zynq-7000 FPGA family prior to SoC tape-out.
