5VT was founded in 2005 to develop broadband communications ICs. The company was initially focused on VoIP and GPON, and is broadening into Home Networking markets. 5VT offers GPON SoC and has worked with key operators in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, US and Europe.
The 5VT131x VoIP SoC series is widely deployed in a range of VoIP applications, such as IP Phones, multi-port VoIP TAs, 802.11n routers, and high-end VoIP-WLAN routers. The SoCs combine a 300Mhz ARM926EJS processor, SoftDSP technology and dual 10/100 Ethernet MACs, PCI 2.2 Interface, and PCM interface for up to 4 voice ports. The field-proven SoftDSP combined with turnkey SIP provides a wide range of codec support at high voice quality.
The 5VT1610 Network Processor SoC family combines a 700MHz ARM1136J-S Processor with an embedded 250 MHz DSP Coprocessor for real-time voice processing and multimedia signaling control, multi-port DRAM Memory Controller (MDMC), both NAND and NOR Flash Memory Controller, a Security Hardware Engine, a High Speed USB 2.0 MASTER/PHY, a PCI Host/Device and myriad of serial and parallel interfaces. A Color LCD Controller supports with panel resolution up to 1024×768.
The 5VT251x GPON ONT (Optical Network Terminal) SoC family is compliant to ITU-T G.984 GPON standards as well as China Telecom E8-C GPON specifications. The device is designed to support the GPON SFU (Single Family Unit) and HGU (Home Gateway Unit) devices. The device has successfully passed Inter-Operability-Tests (IOTs) with most market-leading GPON Optical Line Terminals (OLTs).
The 5VT2510 contains a dual-core 32-bit processor running up to 600MHz, NAND/SPI Flash Memory Controller, Multi-port DDR2/3 SDRAM Memory Controller (MDMC), PCI-e Controller, USB2.0 master controller, L2/L3/L4 Gigabit Ethernet Switch with four 10/100/1000Mbps physical layer transceivers, GPON ONT MAC with SerDes/CDR, and numerous other serial and parallel interfaces.
The ITU G.984/988 and BBF TR-156 compliant OMCI software module enables GPON equipment vendors to create GPON ONT products rapidly. Market proven Soft-DSP features facilitate provide flexible, cost effective and carrier-grade VoIP software development.
Sckipio has partnered with 5VT to demonstrate up to 2Gbps of throughput over twisted pair copper wiring with G.fast. Sckipio uses standard-compliant G.fast silicon by bonding two copper pairs to a single G.fast-enabled CPE. The solution is comprised of two Sckipio CP1000 G.Fast transceivers chips that feed into the 5VT1822 bonding chip, which then feeds into the 5VT2516 GPON ONT gateway SoC.
The 5VT1822 is a network-process-less solution for two-pair bonding based on ITU-T G.998.2 and IEEE 802.3ah Ethernet port aggregation function. The 5VT1822 features a high-performance hardware Port Aggregation Function (PAF) to support bonding of two G.Fast/VDSL2 ports to enable up to 2 Gbps bandwidth.
