Euvis was founded in January 2000 to develop high-speed broadband communications and high performance mixed-signal ICs. The company would not disclose funding details. Euvis has 11 employees.
The company’s initial products include front-end and physical layer chipsets for 10Gbps OC-192/STM-64 transceivers. The front-end chipset combines the laser diode/modulator driver, transimpedance amplifier (TIA), limiting amplifier, 16:1 multiplexer, and 1:16 demultiplexer with CDR. Beta samples have been available since the beginning of the year with production anticipated by year-end. The chipset is fabricated using a GaAs HBT and a Bi-CMOS SiGe process. Future mixed-signal products will include a 40Gbps multiplexer and demultiplexer, 2 GHz DAC, 2 GHz DAC with 4:1 500MHz multiplexer, and a 2 GHz direct digital synthesizer (DDS).
