RISE was founded in 1993 as a fabless semiconductor company making high performance, 200MHz+ x86 compatible CPU’s. The market size, including Windows and other X86 applications, is over 100 million units per year. RISE has about 50 employees and has numerous job postings on its web site. The company will not disclose its plans yet, however based on the web site, it seems to be getting close to a product launch. It should be – it’s been 5 years!
